@Sen_JoeManchin & @kyrstensinema @SenatorSinema get their bread and butter through these avenues. If they refused to pass voting rights legislation, then they damn sure won’t overturn Citizens United. It’s sad for elected officials deceive their voters while enriching themselves.

It's just performative nonsense because an election is coming up. It will go nowhere, and the politicians sponsoring it know it will go nowhere - they just want the PR to get votes. If they thought it had a chance of passing, they would never have introduced it (donors).
