The left is very divided on the issue of Ukraine, depending on whether you’re viewing it mainly through the filter of Iraq and Afghanistan or through the filter of World War II. Both are legitimate and either alone tells only half the story.

Viewed from the Holodomor, there is only one legitimate view. Russia has repeatedly committed genocide against Ukrainians, including now in Mariupol. Driving Russians from Ukraine is righteous.

The West is repeating the mistakes of WW2, they don’t want to poke the tiger like they didn’t want to poke Hitler, Hitler didn’t back down n neither is Putin. Sometimes it’s necessary to fight evil or you give evil permission to kill.

The right is also divided, at least by the conversations I follow. There's the trad neo-cons who always insist upon us waving big military dick around. Then there's the anti-empire wing asking why we have to expend our treasure to enforce the world order.

What the hell are you talking about? Everyone except Tucker Carlson is on the side of Ukraine. What side are you on? Is that a difficult question? It’s not theoretical, it’s real dead civilians.
