The left is very divided on the issue of Ukraine, depending on whether you’re viewing it mainly through the filter of Iraq and Afghanistan or through the filter of World War II. Both are legitimate and either alone tells only half the story.

Well, there are 330,000,000 US citizens, with 330,000,000 opinions. Division is a matter of perspective. No one I know wants war. Let us pray Putin turns toward peace and stops murdering innocents!

May be the left should see it from the perspective of NOW. the state of the world now. The recent growth of leftist ideologies of the past that have killed millions. The corruption of the left Now. The growth of ideologies against nature.

My question is, should we have just spent more money on evacuating people rather than spending money on military aid... When NATO nations were not going to be intervening more directly? It's like Russia is going to steamroll through regardless...

it is insulting to label people as "left" since everyone has a diverse and complex ideology to be restricted to one narrow idea-shame

Add into the mix the inadvertent arming of ISIS in the Syrian war. We charged into Syria sending TOW missiles to defeat evil Bashar Assad, and ended up arming Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi. Let us also not forget our arming of "Freedom Fighters" in Libya. We never learn

Glad you're thinking more about this Marianne. Although either of those filters direct me to be against military solutions.
