How would cancelling student loan debt help the millions that paid off their debt or never took on the debt?

44 million people able to participate in the economy in ways they currently cannot will be a boon to the entire economy. It will indirectly help everyone. Turning higher education into a gargantuan profit center for lenders was an injustice to begin with and it should be stopped.

They took the loans out on their own. THEY DID THAT. I paid my trade school loan back. They can pay theirs back. Where does it end? Pay mortgages off? Cars? Breasts surgery loans? I mean where does the "we all need to pay off others loans so we are all helped" end?

You shouldn鈥檛 have had to take out a loan for it; citizens having trade schools & higher education should be part of our national investment just like k-12. You getting that education helps everyone. Many have been treated unjustly but it鈥檚 not a reason not to stop the injustice.

Or those who took those loans got a degree in a field that doesn't pay well. Whose fault is it that a person is 100k in debt for a job that pays 40k? What you're talking about is the tax payer footing the bill for people getting degrees with no utility (women's studies etc.)

K-12 hasn't had the best results.....also those are minors. When you're an adult, pay for your education.
