I was on an amtrak CHI —> Minneapolis and it took about 10 hours with stops. My Chinese seatmate was like you can get twice that distance (800 miles, Beijing to Shanghai) in half the time. Im actually on amtrak now. 2.5 hours for 130 miles. I love the train though…
