Not sure what to think of this. Some insight on how both parties feel like they are trying to save democracy. But there's contradictions here too. How do you move on from the past to reclaim core values?
The bulk of the Republican Party today represents a nosedive for our democracy; the corporatist wing of the Democratic Party represents a managed decline. The people of the US are ready to move on, to break with the past, and reclaim the core values that both used to represent.

Some people feel moved to work within the two parties, some feel moved to activate third party efforts. Most of us still trying to decide. For me, getting progressives elected in primaries in 2022 is the most important thing right now. seizethehouse.com/candidates

So, how does trying to get progressives elected help to reclaim the core values? What are the values that progressives stand on?
