Shocking. Gas prices are at the highest levels ever at the same time the big oil companies are raking in huge profits. Yes, the time is now for a windfall profits tax.

Neither is the government. When the oilfield collapsed in the pandemic there wasn't much help and many of the companies went totally bankrupt. Hundreds of thousands of oil workers were laid off. Many won't return because they moved to more stable industries.
