That’s like saying about a mass murderer who had abusive parents when he was a child that “his parents got us here.” No, HE got us here; the fact that he had abusive parents was one contributing factor to his psychosis.

That you are still responding to this doubling down on it's absurdity explains so much. How in the hell are you missing who the abuser is?

The fact that one party is bad doesn’t necessarily mean that the other party is good. It’s amazing to me how many so-called anti-imperialists are only anti-imperialist if it’s American imperialism. If it’s Russia’s, well, yeah whatever.

Marianne, I know you come from a good place, but you are waaaaaay off here. If North Korea made a pact with Mexico and helped it join a military alliance that would deploy offensive weaponry in the border with the states. Do you think the US would not have to do something?

Facts: * Putin asked to be part of NATO: The west refused * Putin asked Ukraine to remain neutral and not part of NATO: Ukraine applied * Putin set a redline regarding NATO membership and stopping bombardment of Ethnic Russian groups: Ukraine folded Nazis into their army.

Just don’t forget, Shrub/Cheney are also mass murderers and Obama/Clinton. Of course those victims were just poor brown droned desert people, right? They don’t count. They were not white blonde Europeans, right marwilliamson? Putin is killing white babies. NOW we’re OUTRAGED!
I would change “contributing factor” to the “main factor”, but either way begs the question, if the “parents” weren’t so abusive, would the mass murderer become a murderer? Potentially unknowable, but looking back at historical context, the answer is they would not have.

Do you have any concept of geopolitics? Russia said that Ukraine joining the West was a redline, this was even after the US told Russia we wouldn't expand NATO. US broke it's promise and staged a coup in 2014, that is why Russia invaded.

Explaining behavior is not excusing it.
He* got us here, ma’m.
Biden in 1997 saying that the only thing that could provoke a "vigorous and hostile" Russian response would be if NATO expanded as far as the Baltic states

Marianne, most people realize you’re an imperialist.
