Absofuckinlutely. Every policy the world has followed regarding nuclear power has relied on a distinctly fragile premise: that no insane person would get near it. Time to get over that now.
Today would be a very good day to stop the construction of new nuclear power plants and move to decommission nuclear power plants throughout the world.

It IS possible if we make it possible. It’s only a lack of political will that keeps humanity from making the urgently needed immediate just transition from dirty to clean energy.

No I don’t think the world can afford to build the wind, solar and storage that we need, without getting rid of money altogether, right now. If we can get fusion working then we have a chance,

I hope so. I mean I’ve read there’s been breakthroughs but still years away from practicality. There’s also this clean nuclear plant that’s I’ve read about. Which is why I’m not against nuclear. livescience.com/china-create…
