Absofuckinlutely. Every policy the world has followed regarding nuclear power has relied on a distinctly fragile premise: that no insane person would get near it. Time to get over that now.
Today would be a very good day to stop the construction of new nuclear power plants and move to decommission nuclear power plants throughout the world.

Saagar lays out a good case for nuclear here. If you have access to their premium, use that to watch the discussion with @krystalball where she admits she's come around to his position. youtube.com/_4kLv4gxLjE

This can鈥檛 be a serious position. Insane people get near fossil fuels all the time, which do FAR more harm than nuclear鈥攖he only thing powerful enough to displace them. Sensible policy positions start with engaging with objective reality!

Nuclear power fans are just part of the same "Don't Look Up" crowd. There's a highly organized paid army of nuke shills that descend out of nowhere spewing their propaganda. Business "plan": But - No insurance company will issue a policy for nuclear power. "Plan" kaput.

They also didn鈥檛 account for natural disasters near said nuclear plants.

strip mining, toxic waste, slave labor and fossil fuel pollution it takes to produce all of the hardware for batteries, wind power and solar power ? there is no way to keep increasing the use of electricity if we do not implement LTFR nuclear power plants and micro grids no way

This would lock in more climate change. We should be engaging in a massive investment in nuclear in addition to solar and wind and every other source we can find which doesn't increase the earth's temperature. Ideally, we'd have an excess of power and use it to sequester carbon.

Marianne you should not advocate adding more weapons into this conflict, especially since they are being sent to the Azov Battalion.

You're going to have to try harder than that. It's a poor argument and nuclear power is the best possible option we have moving forward. And no amount of fear mongering will change that.

Nonsense. Extremely clean and safe, modern nuclear power plants are almost impossible to force into meltdown
