On the other side of this catastrophe we will have an entirely new conversation about the use of nuclear power, the manufacture and presence on the earth of nuclear bombs, and the urgent need to transition to clean energy right this very minute.
Noting one small advantage of solar panels is that if you shell them, they break into chunks of glass.

Catastrophe? Isn’t this how we’ve managed oil and gas since WWll? Live by a war of terror, live by a war of terror…enjoy…or not…maybe we can learn to enjoy some other catastrophe(?)🙂

No we won't. We should. If had any common sense, we would. But we won't. Because the wealthy and greedy think they're above the catastrophe that is coming. The Climate Crisis will make our stupid wars look like picnics in the park. I wish I was wrong about that... but I'm not.

Mw, ask the countries that use their people to work in mines/ smelters to support your clean energy. If you could produce the elements/minerals in the USA you would be tied up for decades for permits. USA can't produce these now because of human cost. You see what you want to see

Nuclear power has come a long way. Modern nuclear plants can be stopped without a serious risk of meltdown. We need both investment in new safer nuclear power plants and investment in solar, wind, and geothermal for civilization to survive the climate crisis.
