Whoah…
YouTube suspended The Hill—which produces Rising, the show I co-host with @ryangrim and @KimIversenShow—for election misinfo. It's a crazy story that shows how this policy goes much, much, much further than anyone knows, and actually imperils journalism. reason.com/2022/03/03/youtub…

The oligarchs are taking advantage of the Ukraine crisis to expand their control of social media. Goal is to establish neolib control of social media like they have in MSM. They'll be coming after you soon enough, Marianne.

They’re clamping down on speech at every turn. What is big tech going to do when democrats question election results in the future, as they have in the past? Are they going to ruthlessly shut them down the same way?

Every blind policy will eventually destroy exactly what it's trying to protect!

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is the perfect cover to execute the next phase of total government control of media. A few years ago, it would have been unthinkable to cancel entire news outlets for simply reporting the words of a former President. Now it seems almost normal.

They have become the problem since Krystal and Sager were forced out. The Hill is now as bad as the rest of mass media. They are free to broadcast on their own website, YouTube is NOT required to carry them.

free speech was imperiled when Trump was deplatformed. I hate Trump and was relieved to not have to not be subjected to his bullshit every day. But the sad fact is, silencing him, sets up on the road to silencing everyone.

Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government.
