Suggesting we do nothing to support a country that is being ruthlessly invaded doesn't make you "anti-war."

US started this war in 2014 when it backed a coup that overthrew the elected gov't, selected the new leaders, empowered fascists who burned people alive, & poured in $2.7 billion in weapons to shell the resisters. We should do something: stop treating Ukraine as cannon fodder.

Replying to @aaronjmate
So to you that means doing nothing now? You think that’s a moral high ground?

This reminds me of how you wanted to keep killing in Afghanistan -- for the sake of the little girls. Just come clean. The oligarchs that pull your strings want you out there war-mongering. But in the name of love.

Higher than sending more arms to Nazi’s and pushing Ukr to spill their blood for gas frackers and arms dealers. It’s irresponsible to weigh in when you don’t know what’s going on.
He clearly never said anything of the sort. I am appalled at your bad faith attempts to put words in the mouths of those who want to end suffering and war.
your choices are so binary, @marwilliamson 1) war vs 2) "do nothing" Why not peacemakers vs arms dealers on the executive council for proxy wars by U.S. ?!?! Don't do drumbeat for war...
The US has no moral high ground on which to stand.
I think A LOT has been done already .. financially, Putin is getting cut-off .. NATO nations have united instead of fighting each-other. Are you proposing more should be done? Like what? #fkWar

To Marrianne Diplomacy=doing nothing.

He didn't say do nothing. Conflict resolution and diplomacy require a common ground and recognition of the facts that have caused the escalation. Unless this happens, there's no chance for deescalation. Russia has legitimate security concerns which were ignored.
