What you aren't getting here @marwilliamson is that in this case, we are Hitler. We have overthrown a country, set up a proxy government then supplied wrappings to very bad people. We encouraged W Ukraine to violate the peace treat with E Ukraine which has led to prolonged war.

We’ve got about 80 years of wars since WW2 that we didn’t need to enter or escalate and in which we made everything worse. Even *in* World War Two we dropped two nuclear weapons on civilian targets in a country that was surrendering. Is this like the Holocaust to you?

There are better ways to respond to killing people than killing more people. There is great opposition to this war in Russia, we need to find ways to empower those folks too. You get me there, I'll stand in front of a tank, but supply weapons so more people die? No.
