Suggesting we do nothing to support a country that is being ruthlessly invaded doesn't make you "anti-war."

even if you believe that, have you seen what US intervention and involvement has done every single time, or do you earnestly believe that this time it will somehow be different?

Suggesting we inject more violence into a violent situation is pretty much the definition of warmonger. Great news for weapons makers and the greatest merchant of death on the planet, though.

I think it would help if you dug a bit deeper. Of course, people aren't justifying a war and the damage it does - but do consider Chomsky's points about who are worthy and unworthy victims. This is excellent by Greenwald: youtube.com/ZnHo6JXxcQM

Where were you during the 8 years when Ukraine was bombing civilians in the Donbas region on a daily basis? 'Cos we could have used some of those kinds of insights back then. Saying it now, after Russia has given up on the idea of a diplomatic solution, seems 8 years too late.

But cheering on a half a billion in lethal aid makes you an advocate for peace, I suppose 🙃

What we need to do is solve this crisis diplomatically by promising Ukrainian neutrality in exchange for a withdrawal of Russian troops as @yanisvaroufakis has pointed out. Unfortunately, I don't think that's what you mean by "do something".
The only issue today should be to stop the war and to secure the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. The only way that could happen is a Washington-Moscow agreement that Russia withdraws in exchange for a commitment of Ukrainian neutrality. Anything else is war mongering.

I pray for the best for both the Ukrainian and Russian peoples, as this is the fault of oligarchs. The US played a large role, starting with the 2014 events in Ukraine... not to mention that this conflict has much to do with fossil fuels. I don't trust what the US will do.
