The Right has a blind spot concerning the imperialistic tendencies of America’s military establishment, but the Left as a blind spot concerning Russia’s. Mate has already said he had thought Putin would not invade, and that he was wrong.

Americans have a cartoonish view of reality. Putin characterized as a "madman" is a perfect example. The US has been flooding Ukraine with weapons for years & fomented the coup in 2014. But this context is never mentioned. Why?
Maybe if the United States hadn't help to overthrow the Ukrainian Gov't, flooded it with weapons and started to try to make it a part of NATO, Russia wouldn't be there right now.
