1/ $780 billion a year is our military budget. We invaded Iraq although it never did anything to us. We stayed in Afghanistan at least 10 years longer than we needed to, doing nothing to bolster a democratic government.

They're reading the room. Americans don't want to be dragged further into this war that isn't ours.

We flooded them with arms and even allied with Neo Nazis in the country to try and best prepare them but they’re still overwhelmed by the Russian military. Only through diplomacy and taking NATO off the table months ago could this have been adverted but Biden wouldn’t listen.

Please shed some light. I've been thinking hard about this: Realistically speaking what else could be done that doesn't lead to WWIII?

With a military budget like this, Putin shouldn't be in the position he is. People say "We're so PC, we hold back, it would be better to nuke everything", but the thing we're really holding back from is a very small attack.

Calling the man with the nukes a madman… not sure how I feel about that.

Sorry Marianne to be clear, are you saying we should have spent more of that money on military intervention in Ukraine? That’s not the answer here and you know it.
