1/ $780 billion a year is our military budget. We invaded Iraq although it never did anything to us. We stayed in Afghanistan at least 10 years longer than we needed to, doing nothing to bolster a democratic government.

2/ Yet now, with Ukrainians at risk of being slaughtered en masse by a madman, there’s not more we could do and could have done to help them defend themselves?

Well. Afghan women were grateful for our presence there. Now none of them will receive more than an 8th grade education. Muslims like their women uneducated and oppressed.

780b in weapons. Is it then pathetic that there is UN news everyday about World hunger, famine and disease? And, these rich participating countries what are they doing to alleviate world scarcity? Or even the debt of their own people and the poverty of their own Citizens?

We never needed to invade or occupy Afghanistan. None of the 9/11 terrorists were from there, and the leadership of Al Q were in Pakistan. But Pakistan had nukes, so we invaded Afghanistan & killed the Al Q grunts & destroyed their country instead.

Dear Marianne, I am with you. An idea just flashed in my mind I feel you can help create. What if we start a global love movement where we all just say or silently chant, “peace, peace”? At appointed times and throughout the day. Peace, peace. And love.

This is the moment for peace loving people to demand an end to the fossil fuel industries domination of the global order. Shock Doctrine but this time for the Peoples agenda.

We had no business screwing with Afghanistan during the Carter administration. None of the wars that followed had to happen. Maybe Al Qaeda would have hit the twin towers anyway, but not from bases in Afghanistan.

We can help them by agreeing to Russia's demands that Ukraine stays neutral and does not have foreign weapons on their soil. But the conflict will continue bcs we will sacrifice the Ukranian people to keep Russian fossil fuels from flowing into Europe.
