Absolutely unacceptable.
BREAKING: The sponsor of the "Don't Say Gay" bill in the Florida House, @josephbharding, just introduced an amendment that would REQUIRE SCHOOLS TO OUT LGBTQ STUDENTS even if the school believes THE DISCLOSURE WILL RESULT IN "ABUSE, ABANDONMENT, OR NEGLECT" (Via @CarlosGSmith)

This is how .@GOP, so called lawmakers all over the country are wasting taxpayers $ over cultural issues. These clowns ( enemies of progress) ran for offices specifically to distract & hinder Americans from moving forward

We are talking about basically FERPA issues. A school system cannot legally take any overt actions to conceal educational information from parents. LGBTQ advocates think the school can keep some educational records secret from parents and the law simply does not allow for it.

On one hand, this is just another fire set by GOP to distract. And on the other hand, a dangerous set up that exploits the LGBTQ community placing children at risk of very real physical and psychological harm.
