We're near the top of the list for education spending per student. Education in the US is failing because it is a government bureaucracy, immersed in Marxian doctrine and let's face it, we live in a culture ever increasingly devoid of personal responsibility.

Run for President again.

Who would pay for all this? Don't get me wrong, I have some student loan debt myself and if they tell me I don't have to pay it back, then I won't. But let's not kid ourselves - nothing is free. Somebody is going to have to pay for it.

So the people who choose to go to an affordable school, live at home, work two jobs, and pay off the loan by living frugally, should finance others who were bad a math and bought the brand name - I think not! Invest in k-12,free cc, but don't make me pay for someone's stupidity.

Isn’t it more that people have been convinced that the “US is the greatest country on earth” so any attempts to make it better are seen as a criticism of that greatness? The prevailing theory seems to be that if you’re not enjoying the fruits of America, it’s your fault.

How about we start supporting the trades instead of ramming college down students' throats.

The US government only serves their constituents. And that's the Davos Men, not the Little People. The latter are just rubes for exploitation.
