It’s impossible to transition to natural and equitable forms of anything from agriculture to health care to economics without pushing up against the dominant principles of stockholder capitalism. We can’t fundamentally deal with anything until we fundamentally deal with that.

Absolutely, this is what will cost us the electric vehicles industry. Utterly unacceptable. Utterly unconscious.

I like you, but it really bothers me that you can't just say "capitalism". Are you anti-capitalist or not? Time to draw your line in the sand.

If we separate members of Congress and the administrative state from trading.....

It’s not “stockholder” capitalism, Marianne. It’s just capitalism, an economic system based on exploitation of the masses for the benefit of a minority. Why would you want to retain capitalism and not replace it with a better system, i.e., socialism?

I don't think you will be able to convince the ruling elite to give up any power.

"stockholder capitalism" freudian slip? Because it's still capitalism and the basic dynamic is exploitation of the people by the rich.

Eloquently said, this is the unfortunate reality of our times, Capitalism as it stands is not sustainable & the manic temperament of the populous is subject to constant scare tactics by the media. Frighten a population they naturally consume until nothing is left

They have us by the short hairs with the stock market. Oligarchs make their fortunes there, but retired working people also depend on it for pensions and 501k's. If they go down, we go down. We have to make Social Security a liveable amt of $, free us from the market.
