Please get your terms right. In Norway, Denmark, Sweden, etc it is Social Democracy, not Democratic Socialism. There is a big difference and accuracy matters. Nordic countries are not socialist countries. They are capitalist economies with taxpayer-funded social welfare systems.

Believe it or not we’re technically democratic socialist too, the difference is that they have a lot larger social spending budget at the cost of much more government control and higher taxes. America is not “Unfettered Capitalism” nor has it ever been.

Can’t understand the battle over Socialist or social, let’s talk about fair Democracy instead. For all referring to oil and it is not fair, basically same figurers applies for Sweden, Denmark and Finland as well. No oil to be found there…

What about diversity? If we recreate Norway’s success while simultaneously overcoming our fears of multiculturalism we will become a -legitimate- unmatched world leader.

With all due respect, how does one compare a nation with 5 million people (Norway) to a nation with 330 million people (U.S.) and expect the same policies to be applicable to operating both countries?

The stigma behind our labels should be eye-popping. But so many people wear blinders, denying whatever it takes to remain in good grace of resident evil.

Norway doesn’t have “democratic socialism”, and the US sure as hell doesn’t have “unfettered capitalism”. This chart falls under propaganda.
