America has no paid vacation per year?! I had no idea. Wow. We have around 30 days here in Britain as an average. That’s harsh 😳

That last line is the kicker. Can't believe our tax rate is just one percentage point lower.

The United States doesn’t look bad enough on here. Stockholders/stakeholders skew the life expectancy up, skew happiness up and having a mortgage on a house isn’t “home ownership.” The bank own’s your home. Only 20% of Americans actually own shit 😭

Complete fallacy. You can’t seriously think we have “unfettered capitalism?” We have a mixed economy with a heavily regulated market and a corrupt government often picking winners.

"But it's not the same they have a different population than us!" Yes, exactly. We have a talent pool ~62 times larger than theirs. Plus we have vastly greater quantities of land and natural resources. /And/ geography that doesn't force 75% of us to all live in one small area.

1. Norway has a $1t hedge fund from its oil. 2. The cost of living is extremely high. 3. Back to number 1, there's 5.5 million people in Norway. 4. Sweden and France have better healthcare systems. Just because you have a healthcare system doesn't mean it's good (NHS & HSE ffs)

It always comes back to the military spending. It's why people hate taxes here because so little of it has tangible benefits for them. The first step to getting everyone Healthcare is cutting military spending.
