Marianne I like and respect you a lot, but the nordic model isn't democratic socialism, it's social democracy, which is still capitalism, and thus it still requires worker exploitation.

Comparing a country with less people than NYC, with massive per capita oil wealth to the US is pointless.

Though there are some valid points here, the US is a geographically huge nation of nearly 350 million people of diverse cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds. Compare us to China, Russia, Brazil, et al and we are ahead by all metrics. Norway is not a relevant comparison.

Average tax rate in America is 13.29%. Even the top ten percent is only 25.57. Sooo.. Are any of your stars correct? 52 % of Americans didn't even earn enough to owe federal taxes in 2020.
