The problem here is these are averages over a whole society, it doesn't take into account the massive differences in variation between the two countries, very little in Norway , huge in the US. So, it's actually far worse for most people.

These 2 countries are more alike than they are different, but the glaring difference that you types ironically seem to miss is that government is further removed from business, thanks to anti lobby laws, which leads to less corruption and more competition, not social systems.

You work 50 plus hours a week for $1000 and the government takes 38.5% = you make $615 then they inflate away the dollar by 40% your $615 in spending power is now worth $369 your $20 per hr job in 2019 is actually $7.38 per hour in 2022 how will socialism fix that?
