I'm triple vaxxed, but (unless they're standing for hate or calling for violence) banning someone's podcast is too much like burning a book to me. Joe Rogan should talk on his podcast about whatever he damn well pleases.

Who decides what is violence or hate? It is when media lies about that with made up evidence, that bans free speech.

Yes, he can say what ever he wants but he is not immune from consequences for what he says.

And people should be able to protest what he talks about by abandoning the network that airs it

Private company deplatforming dangerous misinformation =/= a podcast being "banned"

He does talk about whatever "he damn well pleases" and Spotify has agreed to allow him do that. He has not been banned or censored. Consumers have used the free enterprise system to their advantage and canceled subscriptions and decided to consume elsewhere.

His podcast isn't being banned. He doesn't have a right to demand distribution from a private party that no longer wants to carry his podcast because they're losing business from it.

Spotify is paying Rogan an enormous amount of money for the exclusive rights to his podcast. I choose to not contribute financially to Spotify and therefore Rogan. He is absolutely free to say whatever he wants - and have guest who spew misinformation - but I will not contribute.
