Create a memo, put together a committee, etc is just speak for delay so they never have to do it. They think telling the people we will look into it while doing nothing will appease the people.

shifting the onus for payment away from people who read, agreed, and signed a loan agreement to a public who did not read, agree to, and sign a contract is a bad precedent. mortgages, credit cards, autos are a burden too but we can't pick up the tab for every bad decision.
