The purpose of a government is to serve its people - not thwart, punish, and disregard the needs of all but a few of them.

The purpose of government is to protect the natural rights of the people it governs. If the majority wishes to violate the rights of a few then the government properly thwarts that attempt and punishes those who undertook the attempt.

That’s the purpose of a government by & for the people. Regardless of what’s in the Gettysburg Address, that’s not what we have. Our leaders believe that we are here for their betterment… The function of the 99% is to serve the 1% then die. Why aren’t the 99% beyond pissed?

Marianne Williamson would help a lot of Americans wake up if she publicly left the Democratic Party behind and ran as Green or Indy. Then they would see she really means it. Duopoly capitalism is an evil much like slavery. It will go on until enough people stand up to it.
