These “pauses” on student loan payments have almost a low level cruelty to them: a taste of financial freedom but really only a tease.
Student loan payments resume in less than 100 days. The pause on student loan payments has allowed millions of borrowers to start a business, participate in our economy, and save for the future. @POTUS must use his authority and cancel student debt.

Just like the CTC and the covid tests and the masks. Doing the most to do the least. They are gross and unapologetic and DGAF cuz it’s only our lives on the line. Their lives are fine.

Yeah, I got into a "conversation" with a staunch Biden supporter when I pointed out that by law, he could buy back amounts to those loans. Incl. the amount he promised, I was told I wasn't interested in having a factual convo? Exec order now

We should all stop paying predatory debts and, while we’re at it, taxes too. Our money isn’t going to community services or infrastructure- it’s going to endless wars that benefit corporations and the aristocracy. We need to cut these deadbeats off forever.

They moratoriums do not apply to loan takers who has their loans sold to private banks. This is only for people who have them held by the federal government. A lot of people (like me) got left out

And with the fed raising rates cause the job market is too strong and people might get more power over capital it is especially evil.

Why not? We've totally disregarded fiscal responsibility at the government level, why would we expect individuals to follow through on their contractual obligations/commitments?? This is the beginning of the end of binding contracts. Why not start by regulating colleges??
