These “pauses” on student loan payments have almost a low level cruelty to them: a taste of financial freedom but really only a tease.
Student loan payments resume in less than 100 days. The pause on student loan payments has allowed millions of borrowers to start a business, participate in our economy, and save for the future. @POTUS must use his authority and cancel student debt.

Same can be said for deferred mortgage payments. Should we forgive those debts as well?

They made a choice and should have to pay it off, not expecting those who didn’t attend college to bail them out

None of us older generation got them. Stop crying and pay your debts. Don't like the debt, don't take the loan.

There should never have been pauses you're saying? That people should've accrued penalties and whatever other negative outcomes from not being able to keep up with payments? Clearly Congress has to get its act together and deliver a bill to the President's desk.

They were a blessing. Assuming victimhood is not very attractive. Accept the gift and plan for the next step.
