Many of us still call them Republicans.

The party alliances have shifted and realigned many times through the decades. Electoral maps show the change from the voting bases of Democrats and Republicans over time. Modern Republicans can’t take credit for what a Republican 150 years ago did. It’s just too different.

Why do we care what values the “members” of The Party are? The Parties dictate how the votes will go! Individual values are sacrificed at the alter of The Party and its effectiveness at enabling this corrupt system.

And liberal Democrats were trying to leave the party.

Not the Democratic Party I grew up with.

Interesting that the Democratic Party is full of “moderates” now
