Given that student debt cancellation would actually stimulate the economy and make about 44 million people more likely to vote Democratic in November, one might ask about the Biden administration, "What the hell are they thinking?"

Oh they are thinking why would I do such a thing when I have corporate donors who will help me either way - even if I lose and election I’ll win bc it will get me a job lobbying, consulting, speaker fees, etc - whatever lines their pockets they don’t care how they get there.

Ahh. But the only non-inflationary ways to stimulate the economy are wars and tax cuts for wealthy political donors. (Ignore increasing market concentration, higher profits that result from it, and rising inequality.)
