Almost every developed country except ours has universal healthcare. Almost every developed country except ours has some form of free college. How is it possible that Americans have been trained to expect so little?

Gradual decline and a disinterested public more focused on celebrities and sports figures than what goes in government.

Propaganda works. It’s especially potent when it’s married to a founding myth of independence, self reliance and freedom.

The indoctrination is relentless and strong. It's easier to convince people that they're self-reliant, rugged individualists, who don't need no help from the "nanny" state and we'd all be better off if govt magically disappeared. Than to convince them they've been fooled.

You can make college free or at least cost very little if you make an effort to do the research. The idea that you have to go to a 4 year university right out of HS is silly. I got over $3k a semester at CC taking the same courses as I would have at uni. Life hacks.

It takes a lot of propaganda to spout off “I want to choose my healthcare” when it’s up to your employer. It is unreal. I was never consulted when my employer changed policies. Some choice!
