The president is *not* “right in the middle of where the country is.” Poll after poll shows Americans want Medicare4All and substantial cancellation of the college loan debt.

What he can do is use the power of the presidency to greater advantage. He could declare a national medical emergency and extend Medicare to everyone, and he could cancel the college loan debt. He doesn’t need Congress for those things.
