Biden could cancel student loan debt today. Sinema can't stop him. Manchin can't stop him. The GOP can't stop him. The freaking Senate Parliamentarian can't stop him. He could score a massive win for millions of Americans AND for his administration, and yet he won't.

If they are going to do that, then they should just get rid of the whole student loan program, because if they don't, students will just keep on racking up these huge loans, expecting some politician later on to bail them out of it.

It’s not the loans. It’s the interest.  just canceling the student loan doesn’t actually solve the problem.

Could this cancel future student loan debt? In my field of design it would be a massive advantage if one can cancel student loan debt from an expensive arts school but I have to settle for a state university. Graduating from art school almost guarantees a job. How do I compete?

who pays for it? those that didn't get to go to college and pay taxes? it can be challenged in the courts if it's paid by taxpayer money.
