Oh no you don't. Dr. King was in Memphis that day to SUPPORT UNION WORKERS, not to do charity work. No amount of private charity can compensate for a basic lack of social justice.
We're all better when we come together. 💚 Inspired by Dr. MLK Jr.'s legacy, join us this Monday and beyond in strengthening our communities through volunteer experiences focused on supporting youth in collaboration with @CityYear, @JA_USA, @MENTORnational.

Very well put, Marianne. Today's @democracynow broadcast covered excerpts from King's April 4, 1967 Riverside Church speech + his April 3, 1968 Memphis speech. Your grasp of his message is totally accurate. @ProGloCommons @ProgressiveIntn @DiEM_25 @OurRevolution @OurRevolutionPR

@cenkuygur should publicly apologize for blood libel accusations he made on 01/07/2022. His establishment progressives are protecting him with hypocrisy 👈

Dr King didn't change the world with politics. He changed their minds with peaceful protests and nonviolence. Political changes are a lagging indicator. Politics can only be enforced with violence.

I think @HowardSchultz recently shared an Auschwitz anecdote with his staff in a speech against forming a union. Theory doesn't need a logical connection with praxis.
