I would suggest the problem is that voters will only consider a very narrow range of options. The reality is the USA is country where the political agenda of someone like Mr. Biden can be described as unacceptably "leftist" and many voters will agree.

Americans forget Herbert Marcuse, who showed both capitalism and Marxism are totalitarian. Keep trying to "fix" capitalism with socialism and the end is the same, total control by an elite class, and an empty public purse.
