Our federal government is filled with political car mechanics; to them, that's the definition of "qualified." But the problem isn't with the mechanics of the car. The problem is that we're driving on the wrong road.

The trouble is the car is owned by the rich not the people. And the mechanics do as the owners wish. So the car is going exactly in the road the owners want it to.

And it’s a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Problem is our government is filled with people who couldn’t even change their own oil.

The wrong road…the wrong gas driven vehicles. George W vetoed the hi speed train 20 years ago that the rest of our planet has embraced. Our government is so far behind reality. The future is our children. Congress takes the very food out of their mouths.

Great piece, Marianne. Your intelligence - which is based on both facts and feelings, clearly frightens rich democrats in America. And, feelings (emotions) matter, impacting the way we make decisions (check out @ReThinkGroup @DeniseKShull ). nytimes.com/2022/01/16/style…

Yep, you got it right Miss Marianne. We're on the wrong road and we're headed towards oblivion. After 40 years of thinking all we need to do is change the driver, I hope we've found that there is little if any difference between the two groups of drivers from which we choose.

Current approval polling averages for the three branches of U.S. government: Executive - 42%; Legislative - 20%, and Judicial - 36%. As Justice Roberts would say, "Let me be crystal clear." Our federal government is not well! #Ethics
