All public policy should be governed by one principle: do that which helps people thrive. This direct contradicts our governing principal now, which is to increase short term profit for those whose donations dominate our policies yet thrive on the exploitation of people & planet.

Sadly they already look at it as “helping people thrive” it’s just their people vs other people.

We have learned that in the realm of politics it doesn't work from the top down. This will be a bottom up effort and it'll have to start with small business owners and individuals setting aside their need for greed (which they are doing en masse) in the name of freedom & Love

Every day there’s a reason you give me for why I still wish you were president right now… You see the big picture because you don’t have blinders on

Well, yeah. Human nature. Alas. My advisor called this the "academics of should." It's just chum. She was right.

So do we remove the donations or do we remove the power of politicians to control?

Our governing principle is to scare susceptible people like yourself into voting for lesser of two evil candidates and thusly inhibiting the possibility of real change.

That's a nothing statement though. What helps people thrive is the directive for which "government" determines to mandate. You are skipping a stone and pretending to "lead" through virtue. Policy is policy. Leaders "lead" in a governmental sense by politicking. Virtues are empty.
