All public policy should be governed by one principle: do that which helps people thrive. This direct contradicts our governing principal now, which is to increase short term profit for those whose donations dominate our policies yet thrive on the exploitation of people & planet.

Capitalists, GOP have myopic greed. They take the $$ they see directly in front of them. They don't consider investing that $$ would make for a happy populace, which renders greater productivity; better infrastructure = better commerce. They want our money and they want it now!
