The worker at a MAGA rally and the worker on a picket line at the deepest level are upset about the same thing: that the system is rigged against them.

“The system is rigged against me,” accurate or not, is an easy complaint. It’s all about individual welfare/status/grievance. “The system is unjust” is the more consequential observation. Survival depends on our *collective* welfare. #democracy #covid #climate #economics

I've got a story to tell.. We are ALL NOT UPSET over the Same things.. For those of Us Being Shelved and IGNORED(Black Americans) RIGGED DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO WHAT HAS AND CONTINUES TO BE DONE.

Imagine being upset about something you made up in your mind. And telling people who are actually facing systems that are rigged against them that they have nothing to worry about and it’s all an excuse. The irony.

Well said. Experience prevents people from speaking in the exact same way. Dig into the language & spend time with people & we discover everyone knows the game is rigged.

Ask the maga guy about litetally any policy that would help the picketer and then come back and tell me they're mad about the same thing.

The difference is that the worker at a picket line may actually try and elect an official that may actually serve them through economic policy. The MAGA will #VRNMW.

they would design a very different system in response, which is what politics is fundamentally about.
