The real divide in this country isn't between Right & Left, it's between the powerful & the powerless. The Left-Right dichotomy is a veil of illusion created by the powerful, making the powerless hate each other rather than recognizing they're being oppressed by the same people.

The left-right terms come from the French Revolution where the powerful aristocrats physically stood on the right side of the room against the common people on the left side of the room Left and right is definitionally about powerless vs powerful

It used to be true here as well. But today? Whether prez was Obama, Trump or Biden, the economic fundamentals for the average American haven't changed. They've remained essentially unjust under all 3: low min wage, no universal healthcare, huge college loan debt & no free college

That may be because the fundamental values that drive “that system” have not changed & no alternative’s found. Values that place goods before people, production before labor(work & minimum wage for all) Is basically profit driven. If “power” defines wealth, people always come 2nd.

Spoken like a true GOP enabler. Must have loved those Bush and Trump tax cuts.

We haven’t had a left wing president maybe ever. Americans need to realize that Liberalism is right wing.

It's the same game -divide & conquer to keep us poor. They should at least compromise on free college. If not free, maybe change the rules on fin. aid so students can use their income instead of parents income until age 24. Ridiculous!

These ideas will just give government more control through dependence. We are all being oppressed by some shadow group of unelected bureaucrats, so lets give them total control of our healthcare, economy, and education? Seriously You just negated your original post. 🙄
