The real divide in this country isn't between Right & Left, it's between the powerful & the powerless. The Left-Right dichotomy is a veil of illusion created by the powerful, making the powerless hate each other rather than recognizing they're being oppressed by the same people.

This is unhelpful. The struggle is between classes: capitalist (owners) & proletariat (poor workers). Everything else comes from that. The struggle is of working people against capitalism.

Bingo. My best friend is conservative and we both agree on a lot including single payer healthcare. There is a lot of anger and rage at what is going on and a lot is aimed at the wrong institutions and people.
