The real divide in this country isn't between Right & Left, it's between the powerful & the powerless. The Left-Right dichotomy is a veil of illusion created by the powerful, making the powerless hate each other rather than recognizing they're being oppressed by the same people.

The left-right terms come from the French Revolution where the powerful aristocrats physically stood on the right side of the room against the common people on the left side of the room Left and right is definitionally about powerless vs powerful

It used to be true here as well. But today? Whether prez was Obama, Trump or Biden, the economic fundamentals for the average American haven't changed. They've remained essentially unjust under all 3: low min wage, no universal healthcare, huge college loan debt & no free college

Yes. Biden’s speech was awful. Full of hate, division and projection. He was yelling at American. I found it to be despicable.

People who can unite for a common cause are ALWAYS more powerful than concentrated power/wealth amongst those who benefit from the status quo. This is why *some* divide & conquer; use ethnic/religious/political differences to blame & sow hate/distrust. Biden unites; Trump divides

The great @4everinjeans wrote a book: Blue Jeans In High Places to document just this. Worth the read.
