All these politicians wringing their hands wondering what could possible bring Americans together, might consider doing things that a majority agree on: raise the min. wage, universal healthcare, cancel college debt, free college. Quell the despair, and you'll quell the violence.

1.) Reduce # of votes to amend, 2.) Eliminate electoral college; 1 person 1 vote, 3.) Increase funding to teach abt digital literacy, voting, & political participation, 4.) Replace first-past-the-post so more parties can participate, 5.) Direct democracy through referenda...so on

Majoritarianism and ignoring the wishes of small minority groups is what causes them to despair. Just because a majority thinks it good, does not make it good to force others to do. We need empathy, not force.
