This tweet is so sad to me. I appreciate the effort it represents, but Americans shouldn’t have to worry about medical bills at all. #Medicare4All
Great news! As of this week, patients in need of emergency medical care no longer have to worry about surprise bills from doctors and hospitals outside their network. I proudly voted for this bipartisan bill, and I'm grateful it's now law. nytimes.com/2021/12/30/upsho…

You make it sound as though we are a rich country where the government can afford to pay for everyone’s medical bills and education. Our government has been looted by military and medical industries, the cupboards are bare. It will take revolutionary change.

Yes! Or worry about shelter or food or comforts! We should do away with free trade and put the government in charge of our choices! We're all too lazy and stupid to make it on our own!

I truly don't know how we're the only country with this archaic system.

Thomas Malthus instructed the wealthy not to help the poor centuries ago, that it was futile and a waste of resources and that they just need to die off. This idea pervades our society today and until we embrace a new economic system, it will continue. thevenusproject.com/resource…

I agree. But I don't see it happening w/o a revolution. Corruption and greed rules. They want the US Treasury for themselves, not the people. They lie and demagogue to get votes. And if GOP get their way, they won't even need votes anymore. They will dictate.

But you know Marianne, they will say "But it's a step in the right direction", they said that about ACA too. They continue to milking/fleecing us for the Rich.

Totally agree. This legislation just shows how absurd our medical care is. It doesn't fix the absurdity, it simply highlights it.
