The threat posed by our war machine, to our democracy and to the world, is as big as that posed by Big Oil. It's as materially bad and in a way morally worse, committing untold numbers of killings of people in other parts of the world under the guise of national security.

Right, so if we focus on the layers, we see that politics and the pentagon are stacked while corporations make up the foundation. Economics dictate politics. How isn't it more transparent than ever that monetary economics is the ultimate dictator of policy, hence destructive? A.
This is exactly what President Eisenhower warned against in his farewell address. His successor tried to put the brakes on the West’s war machine and was assassinated. Why does history gloss over the clear link between that killing and the escalation of war thereafter?

If you didn’t know, now you know…between them, they have a synergy…big oil selects the targets, the military shoots them down, & spends billions to design & build advanced weapons…a double whammy on your tax money…big oil pays off the politicians-to reduce their taxes.

The war machine operates here at home by refusing to give us UBI, M4A, and allowing for profit housing and landlords to exist. That's the war that affects me and everyone I know and love.
