I started teaching HS in 1999, when nobody had smartphones. I remember when texting flipphones became the norm around 2005. It was invasive to the classroom experience. By 2012 everyone had smartphones and it was all over for classroom attention. I watched it happen

I have started at least ten books and they’re unfinished. I used to love reading so much and now my attention span is shot I hate it.
