All the time. But I’m guessing a HUGE part of it is for inflated military contracts paid to companies run by CEOs and investors with government ties…

No because we know about the military industrial complex and what an important lobby they have. Not even the squad or Bernie really takes them on.

I ask myself why would the military even need $400 B a year. It would still be way more than any other country spends. Do you know the 3rd largest military expenditure in the world? US police departments. We spend $160 B a year on that. Almost a trillion dollars for what?

We know that $778 BILLION will not “defend” us from climate change (US military #1 global polluter), COVID, or predatory insurance. You know, things that regularly cause harm to average Americans, much more than brown people with the misfortune of living on top of oilfields.
