I ran across this yesterday, from 1986. latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-… Reports came out in 2018 of the military now paying $10k for toilet seats. It's pretty much a giant money laundering scheme, it seems. We of course spend far too much on aggressive war, but there's much more to it.
